Appearance

Appearance: Ethan has wild red hair that is nearly impossible for him to keep under control. He has deep green eyes that seem to have a hidden energy behind them. He's been described as mildly handsome, but it took him a while to land himself a girl friend because of bad luck and a stigma of being a geek. He has two rings; the Celtic Coil on his ring finger and a replica of the One Ring from Lord of the Rings on his pinkie finger. He wears a medallion around his neck with the holy symbol of Trithareon etched upon it. He always wears cargo pants or sweat pants (he hates jeans) with his tee-shirts or sweat shirts. He loathes formal wear and would probably show up at his own wedding in casual attire.

Personality

Normal: Ethan is a man of contrasts. On one hand he is calm, composed and generally unconcerned with matters. However, he does not suffer fools easily. Those people who are stupid in mind and action, such as racists, bigots, arrogant men, jackasses, people who are rude for no real reason, and other such people drive him mad and bring out the other side of his personality. His temper. Ethan can become quite vicious when his temper is riled, something most people have learned not to provoke over the years.

???: Ethan has another personality locked away in the depths of his mind. As to where it came from, and the exact details of what it wants or whether it has any connection to Ethan's personality what so ever is not known. A few things are known. It is wholly corrupt and evil. It cares for nothing but itself and precious items of gold. However, it losses strength when Ethan is fortified with caffeine, which warms his soul and fortifies his will. Only when the caffeine levels are low does this strange personality emerge.

History

Ethan was born in Muncie Indiana, on October 29th, 1983. His middle class family treated him well, for a time. But by the time Ethan had reached the age of 4 hard times had hit. They were forced to put him up for adoption. He lived in an orphanage till the age of ten.

During his time at the orphanage Ethan met an odd robot by the name of EDG, who stopped by one day. EDG used a device called a "Conversion Matrix" on the young boy. That matrix basically implanted the knowledge of how to build and use his "special" dice. Eventually he was adopted by the Felton family. Of course, being in a family that had a gamer under its roof, Ethan soon became enthralled.

By the age of 14 he was slinging dice as a member of the Knights of the Dinner Table. Over the next 4 years he learned the ins and outs of role playing from some of the sternest taskmasters of the hobby. By the time he was 18 however, things were turning very bad for the gamers of Muncie, very bad indeed. Quite fed up with all sorts of gaming incidents, such as steam tunnel forays, C4 explosions, and Vampyre raves; they decided to throw em outta town.

It wasn't an easy fight by any means, the gamers of Muncie were in a very determined mood to throw off the attack. The fight went down outside the Games Pit and it was nothing short of total chaos. In the end however, the gamers were thrown out. With no place to call their own a decision had to be made. In the end the decision was made to head to Anime City.

After a major journey their destination was reached. On arriving it was time to find places in the city. Ethan fund a center in the city called "The Center for Those Terminally Down on Their Luck". A Hobbit that worked there by the name of Drogo Underhill, helped each member find jobs and places to stay. Ethan found his place at ACU. To pay for his college career, Ethan joined the UCTF. His first match was against Will Clarke on UCTF: Inferno on October 21, 2001. That match resulted in a very quick, and embarrassing loss for the gamer. Undaunted he climbed into the ring against Jonathan Casto...where he lost...again. He cooled his heels for a while before going up against Leona on December 30th, 2001. The military fighter smacked around Ethan like a red headed step child. Ethan once again was out of action for a while, until EDG showed up again.

This time he was going to recruit Ethan into the Gaming Guardians, a top secret organization designed to protect the Gaming systems. His first mission was a in the Shadowrun system, and was an unqualified success. He got back just in time to fight Andre Tau on March 9th 2002. This time he came out with a win. This gave him an opening to fight Will Clarke for the Dustmaster Title. Though this time he gave a better showing against Will, he lost. Then he was called upon for another GG mission, which involved rescuing Spiderman from the Brave New World System. After getting Spidy back to his realm, Ethan got back to defeat both Kashumi, and (to his amazement) Covetous. By this time he had managed to invoke the ire of UCTF Fight Analyzer, Sasa Dark, who was also furious over his loss to Ethan on the April Fools PPV, and over Ethan's relationship with his sister, Sasha. So, to deal with the gamer, he hired kung fu fighter, Jann Lee...

Entrance

The lights go dim. Then, a deep voice shouts…SHUT UP AND HACK! as the words appear on the Jumbatron and Ethan’s theme starts playing. Ethan appears at the top of the ramp, with rats in tow. He walks down the ramp, looking determined before finally climbing into the ring.

Ring Attire: Ethan wears his usual clothes but with a few additions. Over his usual shirt he wears a heavy coat that’s designed to look similar to the one Aragon had on in the Lord of the Ring’s movie. He also wears leather gloves that have the fingers cut off. He has a blunted axe strapped across his back and a heavy mace at his side.

Theme Music

Saturday Massacre- "Crawling in the Dark" -Hoobastank

Fighting Moves

Ethan's fighting style is as varied and as unpredictable as his personality. Someone who fights him must never become to complacent less they fall into Ethan's grasp.

Gaming Moves

Axe and Mace: Not a move in itself, Ethan's replica axe and mace have rarely left his side since Jann Lee's attack, the chops and smashes done by this pair are quite painful, and have gone a long way towards evening the odds in Ethan's favor.

Rain of a Thousand Four Siders- "I am the Dice Man! Koo koo katchu!" Victor "Nitro" Ferguson

Ethan has a special set of 4 sided dice, where he's filled down the edges so that they're razor sharp. He grabs them fist fulls at a time and throws em.

Rolling Thunder- "You want a piece of me? Do you punk? Roll for initiative Monkey Boy!" -Bob Herzog

This time he uses 20 siders and rolls them at his opponents feet. They then trip on em and fall flat on their asses.

Fire Crackers- Ethan throws 8 siders that explode on contact.

Smoke Dice- Ethan throws 10 siders that release great gouts of smoke to cloud him from his opponents eyes.

Flash Bang Dice- Ethan throws 12 siders that let loose a brilliant flash to blind his opponent.

Dice Chuck- "Dealing with a gamer and his dice is like dealing with the NRA and gun control." -B.A. Felton

Ethan brings out the big boys! The infamous 100 sided dice! Ethan's packed these babies with 5 times the explosives then are found in his d8's. The end result is that these things explode with the force of a bazooka round.

Rules Lawyer- "Loop holes are the special rules for us willing to delve for them" -Brian VanHoose

Ethan learned the fine art of dragging out a loop hole in a rule system from the best Brian VanHoose. When he uses this he'll call time and pull out a big old book of official UCTF guidelines. Where he will find some obscure rule to swing things in his favor.

The Blame Game- "Brian did it!" -Ethan Rice

Ethan learned to dodge blame for a mishap at the table. When he uses this he points to a random person and blames the last attack he did on them. Hopefully his opponent will buy it.

Table Flipper- "RRRRAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!" -Brian VanHoose

He steals the time keepers table and drags it back into the mat he then sets it up and flips it into his opponents face.

Soda Charge- Ethan pulls out a 6 Pack of soda and downs the whole thing in quick measure. The sugar and caffeine energizes him.

Wrestling Moves

After Jann Lee was hired to come after him. Ethan knew he had to learn how to fight. So with some help form his sister, and her contacts he began to shape up and learn how to fight. He's learned two separate types of moves, those along the Pro Wrestling line, and those along a pressure point line. His Pro Wrestling moves are based around his speed and agility.

Snap Suplex- Ethan wraps his arm around his opponents neck and flips him over his shoulder, snapping him to the mat. If he's on a roll he will do it repeatedly.

Flying Cross body- Ethan climbs to the top of the turnbuckle and does a flying leap at his opponent, so that his body is diagonal to his opponent.

Hurricanrana- Ethan runs at his opponent, jumps and wraps his legs around his opponent's neck. Then he flips them over his body. If he's in a bad mood, he'll do it into some razor d4's or some explosive d8's.

Judo Flip Toss- Ethan jumps at his opponent, grabs him/her by his/her neck an plants his feet against their chest. Then he flips them across the ring.

German Suplex- The grabs his opponent around the mid section, lifts them up above him, and falls backwards, smashing him/her to the mat.

Long Spear: The wrestling move made famous in rings across the world, the spear has been modified by Ethan slightly. Using the ropes, he puts extra power and distance behind the strike. Of course this is a move you don’t want to hit the post with…

Doombolt (Finisher): Ethan climbs onto the turnbuckle with his mace in hand. He whips the crowd into a frenzy so they begin chanting “Doom” over and over again. Then he faces his opponent and jumps. Right as he lands, he nails his opponent across the face with the mace.

Hyper Doombolt (Finisher): Same as above, but this time Ethan has both axe and mace in hand.

Pressure Point Moves

The pressure point moves are designed to mostly stun Ethan's opponents. Using his speed Ethan will run up, nail a pressure point, and then follow up with a gaming move or a throw.

Crippler- A hard punch to the kidney at a 45 degree angle. The blow weakens the lower body, forcing Ethan's opponent to his knees. A particularly hard blow may cause spinal compression, dizziness or paralysis.

Star Punch- Chaz taught Ethan her trademark punch to the temples.

Hammer Kick- Ethan crouches down and kicks straight up at the groin.

Shatter Drop- Ethan slide kicks his opponents feet our from underneath them. Once they hit the mat he hits them with an elbow drop. He hits them either in the bridge of their nose, or the back of the neck, depending on how they land.

Morning Star Kick- Ethan nails his opponent in the solar plexus with a roundhouse kick.

Choke Punch- A straight punch towards the base of the throat.

Double Drop Slam- Ethan drops to the mat, and kicks straight out at his opponent's knee caps.

Combos

Flash N Bash: Ethan will blind his opponent with one of his flash bang dice, then run forward and nail his opponent on the side of the head with his mace, then while his opponent is dazed he grab them by the hair and slam their head into the turnbuckle.

Corner Explosion: Ethan hangs a few bags of his explosive dice from the turn buckle. Then he goes back, and hurls his opponent right into the dice.

Guardian Rush: Ethan runs at his opponent, and goes to punch him/her. Right as his fist impacts, he shifts to Street Samurai mode for a split second then back before anyone can notice the change. The shift into a powerful fighter during the time the punch connects knocks his opponent for a loop.

Blade Dance: An axe shot to the knees, then to the nuts, and when the opponent doubles over in pain, Ethan brings the axe down on the back of their neck.

The Manager

Earl Julies Slackmoser. A gamer who made it big, really big. With ten published adventures under his belt, and the creator of SlamMaster Earl is with no shortage of money. There's been a history of bad blood between him and the Knights. He almost crippled the group back in Muncie by luring away most of the Knights to his table, then shaking them down for every red cent he could get him money grubbing hands on.

When the big move to Anime City was made, Earl came along. Ethan, being quite ready to forgive and forget, hired him as his manager. Of course, Earl's intentions are entirely dishonorable. He doesn't give a rats ass about Ethan and is just in it for the cash.

The "asshole" persona is his invention and he forces Ethan to maintain it in the ring. The rest of the Knights and Blackhands don't trust him in the slightest. But there isn't much they can do about it. For his part, Ethan continues to listen to Earl because he's terrified of getting fired (and possibly getting killed in the process) from the UCTF.

Earl will do anything, and everything to make sure Ethan wins. From hiring other wrestlers to attack Ethan's opponents, setting up booby traps, drugging Ethan's opponents, bribing Ethan's opponents to throw the fight. And he doesn't mind lending a more direct hand in battle. This usually involves chair shots, baseball bats, 2 by 4's, garbage cans, razor wire, or any other thing he can get his hands on. He also has a very through knowledge of wrestling moves from years of watching the WWF, WCW, and UCTF, and won't hesitate to use them.

*Since he's been watching wrestling for years, Earl has an encyclopedic knowledge of these moves. He can use the moves of any pro wrestler the fight writer cares to use. (much to the aggravation of the original users).*
